Excuse me, but could you allow me have a question? This may sound silly, but I always wonder why “audio books” are popular in US? In my country, it’s not common but usually for blind or old people who has difficulty to read books. I love to buy the Matt’s audio book, but why do some people prefer listening audio books to read them? This is just my curiosity. I would appreciate if someone give me some reasons or background. Thanks! 🙂

  9. Kelly says:

I think audiobooks really come in handy if a person has a long commute to work. If a person is on the go a lot, they sometimes don’t have time to sit down and read a good book. 🙂

    Here’s an article too:

I feel kinda silly for having pre-ordered this. I’ve never read a Patterson book, but the plot sounds interesting. And of course any excuse for listening to Matt’s voice for hours on end is fine in my book (pun intended). :o) Audio books have become more and more popular in Germany too. A lot my colleagues who have long commutes to work in the car are very fond of them. I myself drive only 10 minutes to work, but I like listening to audio books too, particularly when I travel or sometimes at night before I go to sleep.

  15. Kelly says:

Don’t feel silly, I will probably do the same thing Teejay. 🙂
