Matt Bomer to guest-star on “Glee”

Apparently, pretty runs in Blaine’s family: White Collar hunk Matt Bomer is nearing a deal to guest-star in an April episode of “Glee” as the Warbler’s older brother.

This is big for a number of reasons. Among them:? Since this will be the first time we meet any of the other Andersons, we might finally learn a bit about Blaine’s apparently gorgeous kin.

This will also be the first time a lot of people will get to hear Bomer sing — because yes, natch, his character will get in on his sib’s musical number.

Pretty much my reaction too! That and a happy dance just for good measure!

    2. Sab says:

Okay, Matt is officially the funnest actor ever to follow as a fan. LOL

    3. Kelly says:

I’m not a Glee fan at all, so this killed me when I heard the news this morning. *lol* 🙂

Interesting news. On the plus side it’ll introduce Matt to a potentially new audience. On the other hand, having just watched Smash, THAT’s the much better musical show I’d rather see in Matt appear in. As Smash is made by Universal Television which is owned by NBCUniversal and which owns USA Network, I’m hoping there’s a chance Matt will appear in Smash also.

    5. Sab says:

I’m guessing Matt’s appearance on “Glee” is down to his friendship with Ryan Murphy, who also just cast him in “The Normal Heart”.

      I can’t wait! *–*

I’m not a huge Glee fan but think this is fantastic.Love watching him shoot to new heights.

OMG was my first thought too. I love Glee, and Matt on Glee would be amazing.

True Sab and Mellisa, go read the After Elton interview with Matt, he’s very good friends with the creators of Smash who asked him to be on their show but he was thinking about it due to scheduling conflicts. But he’s keen as their are his really close friends.

And Sab is right, Murphy is Matt’s partners publicist and obvious close friend. I see it as a favor. Twitter and fandoms have already gone crazy. Plus I think people are forgetting that his kids will also be able to watch this unlike WC however fluffy it is…it’s still talking about boring adult stuff for kids under 6….

Whereas Glee is full of dancy happy music!

Matt on Glee will make me watch that show.

A dream come true! It also lets Matt do something he’s good at and so different from Neal Caffrey

    13. gill says:

@R, I think you meant that Matt’s partner is Murphy’s publicist, but I got your point anyway. I agree and defo think he’s doing it because of the personal connection, but it’s a good move to get more exposure since Glee is a huge show. And good point about the little kids being able to watch it.

    14. R says:

      Yes Gill. Thanks! 🙂
