The Los Angeles premiere of Dustin Lance Black’s play about the Prop. 8 trial, “8,” will be live streamed for the entire world to see.
This Saturday night Brad Pitt will join George Clooney, Martin Sheen, Kevin Bacon, Jane Lynch and an all-star cast (including Matt Bomer) for a one-night-only benefit reading. The event will support AFER’s federal court challenge to Prop. 8 and raise critical visibility for the issue of marriage equality.
By using the actual trial transcripts intertwined with the powerful personal stories of the two couples challenging Prop. 8 in court, Dustin Lance Black’s play demonstrates why no one should be denied the freedom to marry the person they love.
