‘White Collar’ actor Matt Bomer designs for Gilt

As White Collar protagonist Neal Caffrey, actor Matt Bomer is one well-dressed man. And now you can channel his style: Head to Gilt.com/Neal on Tuesday to shop the Caffrey Collection, a Bomer-designed selection of ties, bow ties and pocket squares by Alton Lane priced from $29 to $69.

The sale coincides with the return of the show at 10 p.m. ET on USA Network.

A portion of the sale proceeds will go to Project A.L.S.

Update! Here is another article, which features an interview with Matt.

In order to curate the collection, which involved selecting suit and shirting fabrics, Bomer channeled his character’s retro aesthetic. “Neal Caffrey’s look was the brain child of [White Collar creator] Jeff Eastin; he had this whole idea of the character having a fedora and his look being inspired by the Rat Pack so that’s what we worked off of for the pilot,” the actor said. “Every season, we create a board of looks I like and draw inspiration from everything from the Rat Pack to Cary Grant and Jack Kerouac. We did Harry Belafonte when we started getting into the summer months. [For the Caffrey Collection], we basically went through the wardrobe archives and found looks that we liked.”

Glad to see them finally taking advantage of some of the fads they started – such as renewed popularity of the fedora (by women as well as men).
