Matt Bomer Fan.com has been online for 3 years today! I would like to thank everyone for all your continued support, Crayen for contributing so many photos to the gallery, and Matt for inspiring me to create MBF.com in the first place. I’m so proud of how far we’ve come since 2009, and I’ve enjoyed every single minute of it!

Happy birthday Matt! We’re thinking of you with much love on your birthday, and wishing you everything that brings happiness today and always. We hope you enjoy this video from your many fans throughout the world.

I want to thank my incredible fans for all the great birthday wishes. It means so much to me that you took time out to think of me on this day. I’m not sure what I did to deserve such incredible fans, but I’m so thankful to have such a tried and true group of people in my life. This was one of the best gifts I’ve ever received. I know you’re not supposed to talk about your birthday wishes, but one of mine is that all of you and your families have a healthy, happy, joyful year this year and onwards. Lots of love always!

Since Matt will be turning 35 years old on October 11th, I thought it would be a good time to start planning for it. This year, we’ll be creating a video with fan made signs to wish Matt a happy birthday. Since making videos is not my forte, I’ve enlisted my talented new online friend Dann to create it for us.

In order to participate, you just need to make a sign with a small message to Matt and take a photo of you holding it. Please include your name and country on it as well. For those a bit camera shy, you can also hide some (not all!) of your face with the sign. Please make sure the writing is legible, not too small, and that you’re in good lighting so he’ll be able to read it. And lastly, please don’t gush about how good-looking he is on your sign. I’m sure he would appreciate that!

The deadline for the birthday project is October 1st. That way, Dann will have enough time to prepare the video before the big day. We’re more than likely going to upload it to YouTube so Matt can view it easier, but it can be unlisted to protect everyone’s privacy. If you don’t feel comfortable sending in a photo, you can also leave your birthday wishes in the comments on October 11th.

In order to submit your photo, please email it to (deadline now reached) with “Matt Bomer Bday Project” as the subject. We’ll send you an email back to confirm it has been accepted. We also haven’t decided on what song(s) to use for background music, so if you have any suggestions, please let us know!

UPDATE! In case you’re not sure what to do for your photo, here’s an example of mine.

I had such a wonderful time at the “In Time” Premiere on October 20th. Thank you so much Carol for inviting me! I found out she won premiere tickets the afternoon before, and bought my plane tickets that very night. It was a very quick trip, but I’m so glad I decided to attend! I had so much fun hanging out with Carol and also meeting other fans as well while we waited for the premiere. Matt was so generous with his time when he arrived and signed as many autographs and took as many photos with fans as he could before he had to leave for the red carpet. I’m so glad I got to meet Matt again as I was a little worried it might not have happened. There were so many people around, but he still took the time to give me a hug and photo before he had to leave. I really enjoyed watching the film and all the action-packed scenes. Kudos to the cast and crew for creating such a wonderful film. Matt also did such an amazing job in the film with the time he was given. I’m looking forward to watching it again on October 28th. Don’t miss it!

My friend Carol won tickets to the “In Time” premiere tonight (October 20th) and she invited me to come with her! It’s very short notice, but I’m flying from Portland, OR in just a few hours to Burbank, CA. Thank you so much Carol for inviting me! Had such a wonderful time tonight! I got to sit in the front row and was roughly 20 feet from Matt and everyone. We got to see the Season 2 Finale and it was awesome! Be sure to tune in tomorrow night because you won’t be disappointed. The Q&A session was really entertaining and we even got to sing happy birthday to Jeff Eastin. After the Q&A, all the fans crowded the front of the stage to get photos and autographs. I met some wonderful fans (especially Carol and her hubby Ryan) who attended. Also, a sweet girl who I had sat next to got Matt’s attention so I could tell him I run his fansite and took a photo of Matt and I. He was also so appreciative of the fansite, which meant a lot to me. Meanwhile, my mom spoke to the “powers that be” and I got invited up on stage with her to get a better photo. Matt gave me a big hug and also hugged my mom before walking off the stage. I’m so excited for my NYC trip in May! I adore Matt even more if that is even possible. I will upload my own photos and videos once I am back home tomorrow evening!

Kathy and her friend Kris went to the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards on January 16th and got to see Matt.
