Happy birthday Matt! We hope you have a truly wonderful birthday. Wishing you many more happy years to come. Here is a special video from your many fans throughout the world. Much love from all of us to you.
Update! Here is Matt’s heartfelt response to his birthday project video. Thank you so much Matt!
First of all, thank you so much for all that you do, and thank you so much for thinking of me on my birthday. Congratulations on 4 years of the website! Wow, time flies. Please tell everyone who was a part of the birthday video that it means so much to me. I’m not sure what I did to deserve such amazing fans, but I’m so thankful to them, and they inspire me every day. Whenever I’m having a hard time, I always think of them to motivate me on a long day. All the best always, and I hope you and everyone else enjoy season 5.
PS: Your 2nd birthday present will arrive shortly! We hope you enjoy it as much as the video.
Thanks to all the fans out there who participated, and to Dann for creating the amazing video.
Since Matt will be turning 36 years old on October 11th, it’s time to get started on his annual birthday project!
This year, we’ll be creating a video filled with all your own videos wishing Matt a happy birthday. My talented online friend Dann will be creating the video again, as she did such a wonderful job last year.
In order to participate, you just need to send us a 15 second video wishing Matt a happy birthday. It would be wonderful if you could take the video outdoors with some nice scenery in the background. Please make sure you have good lighting with no distracting background noise.
The deadline for the birthday project is October 4th. That way, Dann will have enough time to prepare the video before the big day. It will be uploaded to YouTube so Matt can view it easier, but it can be unlisted to protect everyone’s privacy. If you don’t feel comfortable sending in a video, you can participate in our 2nd birthday project (see below), or can leave your birthday wishes in the comments on October 11th.
In order to submit your 15 second video, please email it to (DEADLINE REACHED) with “Matt Bomer Bday Project” as the subject. We’ll send you an email back to confirm it has been accepted. Please do your best to keep it close to 15 seconds. If you are way over, we would feel bad asking you to redo it.
Our 2nd present for Matt is to send him a birthday book filled with postcards from all over the world. We would prefer you choose a postcard with some scenery on it, to represent where you live. In the message area of the postcard, please write your birthday greetings to Matt. In the address area of the postcard, you can leave it blank if you’re sending it inside another envelope. Otherwise, please mail it to the following address:
Kelly @ MBF.com
PO Box 563
Canby, OR 97013-0563
Whether you’re sending us a video, mailing in your postcard, or both, please be respectful to Matt by not gushing all about how gorgeous he is. I’m sure he would appreciate that!
If you have any questions or concerns, you can comment here, or send us an email using the address above. On Matt’s birthday, I’ll direct him to this site as I have done each year and will let everyone know his response. The birthday book will be mailed to him, and I’ll make sure he personally receives it.
Thank you for reading, and we look forward to seeing your submissions!
I have finally added 123 exclusive photos taken by myself while watching “White Collar” film on May 29th and May 31st. I apologize for the delay in getting these added! I’ve been keeping really busy with work since I got back on June 1st. It was so wonderful to finally meet Sharif Atkins in person, and also getting to meet Tim DeKay again. They were both super kind in spending time chatting and taking photos with us. At the end of filming on March 29th, I also got to meet Matt again and had maybe a 30 second chat while taking a photo with him. He’s quite the busy guy, but I’m hoping one day I’ll get to have an actual conversation with him. Please do not post these exclusive photos elsewhere. Thanks for reading this, and hope you like them!
Matt Bomer Fan.com has been online for 3 years today! I would like to thank everyone for all your continued support, Crayen for contributing so many photos to the gallery, and Matt for inspiring me to create MBF.com in the first place. I’m so proud of how far we’ve come since 2009, and I’ve enjoyed every single minute of it!
Happy birthday Matt! We’re thinking of you with much love on your birthday, and wishing you everything that brings happiness today and always. We hope you enjoy this video from your many fans throughout the world.
Update! Here is Matt’s wonderful response to his birthday project video. Thank you so much Matt!
I want to thank my incredible fans for all the great birthday wishes. It means so much to me that you took time out to think of me on this day. I’m not sure what I did to deserve such incredible fans, but I’m so thankful to have such a tried and true group of people in my life. This was one of the best gifts I’ve ever received. I know you’re not supposed to talk about your birthday wishes, but one of mine is that all of you and your families have a healthy, happy, joyful year this year and onwards. Lots of love always!
Since Matt will be turning 35 years old on October 11th, I thought it would be a good time to start planning for it. This year, we’ll be creating a video with fan made signs to wish Matt a happy birthday. Since making videos is not my forte, I’ve enlisted my talented new online friend Dann to create it for us.
In order to participate, you just need to make a sign with a small message to Matt and take a photo of you holding it. Please include your name and country on it as well. For those a bit camera shy, you can also hide some (not all!) of your face with the sign. Please make sure the writing is legible, not too small, and that you’re in good lighting so he’ll be able to read it. And lastly, please don’t gush about how good-looking he is on your sign. I’m sure he would appreciate that!
The deadline for the birthday project is October 1st. That way, Dann will have enough time to prepare the video before the big day. We’re more than likely going to upload it to YouTube so Matt can view it easier, but it can be unlisted to protect everyone’s privacy. If you don’t feel comfortable sending in a photo, you can also leave your birthday wishes in the comments on October 11th.
In order to submit your photo, please email it to (deadline now reached) with “Matt Bomer Bday Project” as the subject. We’ll send you an email back to confirm it has been accepted. We also haven’t decided on what song(s) to use for background music, so if you have any suggestions, please let us know!
If you have any questions or concerns, you can comment here, or send us an email using the address above. On Matt’s birthday, I’ll direct him to this site and will let everyone know his response. Thanks for reading, and we look forward to seeing your submissions!

UPDATE! In case you’re not sure what to do for your photo, here’s an example of mine.
I had such a wonderful time at the “In Time” Premiere on October 20th. Thank you so much Carol for inviting me! I found out she won premiere tickets the afternoon before, and bought my plane tickets that very night. It was a very quick trip, but I’m so glad I decided to attend! I had so much fun hanging out with Carol and also meeting other fans as well while we waited for the premiere. Matt was so generous with his time when he arrived and signed as many autographs and took as many photos with fans as he could before he had to leave for the red carpet. I’m so glad I got to meet Matt again as I was a little worried it might not have happened. There were so many people around, but he still took the time to give me a hug and photo before he had to leave. I really enjoyed watching the film and all the action-packed scenes. Kudos to the cast and crew for creating such a wonderful film. Matt also did such an amazing job in the film with the time he was given. I’m looking forward to watching it again on October 28th. Don’t miss it!
Here are some videos featuring Matt at the “In Time” Premiere:
My friend Carol won tickets to the “In Time” premiere tonight (October 20th) and she invited me to come with her! It’s very short notice, but I’m flying from Portland, OR in just a few hours to Burbank, CA. Thank you so much Carol for inviting me! Please follow Carol and myself on Twitter for updates, and I’ll be back home this weekend to catch up on the site.
Happy 34th birthday Matt! We hope you have a truly wonderful day and that the future will bring you as much happiness as you have brought us. We also hope you’ll enjoy reading all the birthday wishes from your fans in the comments below.
Here is Matt’s response to the birthday wishes:
Hey! You are all so sweet to think of me! I love you all!
Had such a wonderful time tonight! I got to sit in the front row and was roughly 20 feet from Matt and everyone. We got to see the Season 2 Finale and it was awesome! Be sure to tune in tomorrow night because you won’t be disappointed. The Q&A session was really entertaining and we even got to sing happy birthday to Jeff Eastin. After the Q&A, all the fans crowded the front of the stage to get photos and autographs. I met some wonderful fans (especially Carol and her hubby Ryan) who attended. Also, a sweet girl who I had sat next to got Matt’s attention so I could tell him I run his fansite and took a photo of Matt and I. He was also so appreciative of the fansite, which meant a lot to me. Meanwhile, my mom spoke to the “powers that be” and I got invited up on stage with her to get a better photo. Matt gave me a big hug and also hugged my mom before walking off the stage. I’m so excited for my NYC trip in May! I adore Matt even more if that is even possible. I will upload my own photos and videos once I am back home tomorrow evening!
PS: I have added 15 publicity photos so far and will be adding more this week.
