Matt Bomer Goes Fully Rugged in New Trailer for Walking Out

Walking Out made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, where it bowed to strong reviews. In this story of a man (Matt Bomer) trying to reconnect with his son (Josh Wiggins) during a wintry hunting expedition in Montana, the villains are the elements, the frayed familial bonds between an estranged parent and child, and definitely also the bears. After Bomer’s character sustains a grave injury, his boy must carry him back through the snowy wilderness to the safety of their car — or at least try his very best to do so — before blood loss and exposure claim him. See the first trailer here on Vulture, and mark down its theatrical release on October 6.

Matt Bomer Stars New “Todd Snyder” Fall Campaign

Matt Bomer is starring the new Fall campaign of Todd Snyder, that was released this week.

Five years ago Bomer reached Snyder on his first CFDA Awards. “He came up to me and said to me, ‘Hey I love your stuff. I was just blown away, obviously I’m a huge fan of his. Honestly, I don’t know if I said anything, I was a bit speechless.”

Over the next few years, the designer cultivated a relationship with the actor, who, he noted, had been a longtime customer of his brand. So when Snyder asked Bomer to appear in his fall campaign, it felt natural. The game plan for the photo shoot, he explained, was for Bomer to simply be himself.

“We wanted to tell our brand’s story through other people and Matt is someone who has great values and he’s a family man. He just fits our guy and who we want to be inspired by. And obviously he’s good-looking.”

Snyder said Bomer didn’t shave for four days to make the photos.

“So often [Bomer] looks almost perfect on screen, and I think he really likes the idea of looking more like he does every day. I’m sure he’s been told he’s beautiful so many times that I would think it would get annoying.”

(Watch) Matt Bomer Sings ‘Desperado’ at Popcorn with Peter Travers

Last month while promoting The Last Tycoon in New York, Matt recorded an interview at ABC’s Popcorn with Peter Travers – which happens to be one of my favourite segments so far.

Alongside being the amazing self on interviews, he also made us swoon singing Eagle’s song Desperado. Watch it below, and check screen captures in our gallery.

Matt Bomer and Kelsey Grammer talks “The Last Tycoon” to USA Today

Amazon is picking up the pen where F. Scott Fitzgerald left off.

On Friday, the streaming service premieres its 10-episode adaptation of the literary giant’s unfinished novel The Last Tycoon, which traces the careers of two Hollywood moguls (played by Matt Bomer and Kelsey Grammer) in the late 1930s.

Talking to executive producer Joshua D. Maurer midway through the shoot, “I was like, ‘Hey, Josh, when did we divert from the original book?'” Grammer recalls. “And he was like, ‘Oh, God, a long time ago.’ The beauty of an unfinished novel is you get to finish it.”
