“Characters Unite month is growing exponentially this year, because there is still an immense need in this country for greater tolerance, respect and acceptance,” said Toby Graff, USA’s senior vp public affairs. “We’re extremely proud to increase awareness and inspire action to address all forms of discrimination, whether it’s based on a person’s race, religion, gender, sexual orientation or ability.”

Public service announcements, as part of an “I Won’t Stand For” campaign including USA stars Matt Bomer, Peter Gallagher, Dule Hill, Sarah Rafferty and Gina Torres, will follow episodes of Necessary Roughness and Suits. The Hollywood Reporter has an exclusive first look at Bomer’s PSA on bullying.

  1. it doesn’t surprise me that USA tapped matt for this – so articulate and it obviously comes straight from the heart, not just lip service. well done as usual, matt. you’re one of a kind.

  2. Beautifully spoken and obviously from the heart. Matt, thank you for standing up for those who might be fearful to speak out and for being a shining example!

  3. Oh, I do not understand English! I can only communicate through online translator … And we can not translate ((

  4. Thank you Matt… hopefully the full impact of the power behind them will touch your heart in the same way your message has touched ours! I believe in all things Matt Bomer, because you have proven over and over again, what a caring human being you are!

  5. I love that he is not victimizing the bullied or pointing fingers at the bullies. He tells a personal story stating that fear of the unfamiliar is what creates intolerance. He is amazing!

  6. Its impressive how Matt makes his point. I like that he didn’t victimize the bullied nor demonize the bullies. His personal account of how he realized that fear of the unfamiliar is unfounded and easily overcome rings so honest. He sure has a way with words.
